The MediaTek Dimensity 720 is a mid-range SoC designed to bring advanced 5G connectivity and robust performance to affordable smartphones, announced in July 2020. Built on a 7-nanometer process technology, it offers a great balance of efficiency and power, ideal for a range of applications including gaming, multimedia, and AI.
The Dimensity 720 features an octa-core CPU configuration with two high-performance ARM Cortex-A76 cores clocked at up to 2.0 GHz and six power-efficient ARM Cortex-A55 cores also at 2.0 GHz. This setup ensures strong performance for demanding tasks while maintaining energy efficiency.
For graphics, the Dimensity 720 integrates the ARM Mali-G57 MC3 GPU, delivering solid performance for gaming and high-definition multimedia. It supports advanced graphics features and high frame rates, ensuring a smooth visual experience. The chipset includes MediaTek’s AI Processing Unit, enhancing various AI-driven applications like real-time image processing and voice recognition, improving overall device intelligence and responsiveness.
